The Division of Inclusive Excellence is dedicated to providing engaging and evidence-based learning opportunities for the VCU & VCU Health community and our neighbors. We strive to make our educational offerings accessible to a wide range of learners, whether you’re stepping into a topic for the first time or are looking to take things a step further. Through various modalities including online resources and guides, interactive workshops, learning communities, and special events and programs, we seek to empower learners as they develop the skills to make positive change in their own lives and in their communities.

Special Events & Programs

The Division of Inclusive Excellence hosts a number of special events throughout the year, and our events page links to events all across campus and VCU Health.

SMART Workshop Series

Each year, the Division provides a series of interactive, 75-minute workshops designed to get learners thinking about the fundamentals of diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) and strategies for strengthening campus climate and culture. These workshops provide opportunities for building community, gaining knowledge, and practicing skills alongside your peers to advance your DEI practice and grow both personally and professionally.
