VCU Celebrates Black History Month

Virginia Commonwealth University will celebrate Black History Month with a series of thought-provoking, educational and entertaining events throughout February, centered on the theme, continuing the legacy. Events include the annual VCU Black History Month Kickoff on February 1, and VCU Libraries will host its 16th annual Black History Month Lecture on Feb. 15 with a talk by historian and author Ibram X. Kendi.  On Feb. 27, actors from the HBO series “Insecure” will speak at VCU from 7-8 p.m. in the University Student Commons.
