VCU Police Headquarters: New Home for Transgender Day of Remembrance Tree

On March 31, International Trans Day of Visibility, Richmond and VCU Police collaborated to dedicate a cherry tree to honor transgender lives lost to violence.
Guests included representatives from local law enforcement agencies, VCU staff who specialize in LGBTQIA+ programming on campus, and allies who work with the LGBTQIA+ community citywide.  Read More

Immigration and Race Symposium at VCU

Everyone is invited to attend the Immigration and Race Symposium at VCU, Wednesday, April 5, 2017, from 3:30 pm - 6:15 pm. Location is the Academic Learning Commons at 1000 Floyd Avenue, Room 1102.

Panel 1, starting at 3:30 pm will discuss Immigration Policy and its Impact on Education, with Mona Siddiqui, JD, and Saltanat Liebert, PhD, from the L. Douglas Wilder School of Government and Public Affairs.

At 5:00 PM, Panel 2 will discuss Ethical and Historical Insights on Immigration, with Javier Hidalgo, PhD, University of Richmond, and Melis Hafez, PhD, VCU Department of History.
